At Dharmaj Parkinson's Care Trust, our mission is to spread awareness, support patients and caregivers, encourage early diagnosis, and build a compassionate community where no one feels alone in this journey.
Many people remain undiagnosed, misdiagnosed, or unaware of Parkinson's Disease until symptoms become severe. Through this Trust, we aim to create meaningful awareness and reach people who may otherwise never receive proper information or guidance.
Mr. Prakash Rakholia is an entrepreneur, technologist, and founder of Dharmaj Technologies, based in Surat, Gujarat. Through his work in advanced laser technology and diamond processing solutions, he has always believed that innovation should ultimately serve humanity and improve lives.
Alongside his professional journey, life brought him an unexpected personal challenge. Like many Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD) patients, the early signs were difficult to recognize and remained unnoticed for years.
In 2020, he was finally diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD).
The diagnosis became a turning point in his life. Instead of accepting the condition with fear, he chose to understand Parkinson’s disease deeply and transform his journey into a mission of awareness and support.
This realization inspired him to establish the Dharmaj Parkinson’s Care Trust with a long-term vision to create awareness, encourage early identification, support underprivileged patients, and help build an authentic and scientific patient database in India.
Awareness, timely diagnosis, proper treatment, emotional support, and collective efforts can significantly improve the quality of life of Parkinson’s patients and their families.
To build stronger healthcare awareness with respect, guidance, and compassion.
To build a society where every Parkinson's patient receives awareness, respect, timely guidance, and compassionate support.
Spread Parkinson's awareness across India, reduce stigma, support families and caregivers, promote holistic management, and encourage community participation.
