A large-scale awareness and guidance seminar on Parkinson’s and Other Neurological Disorders was organized in Surat in association with Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul.
The program was held in the divine presence of Pujya Dharmavallabh Das Ji Swami, revered saints of the Gurukul, and distinguished dignitaries including Hon’ble Shri Prafulbhai Pansheriya, Health Minister, Government of Gujarat.
A large number of patients, caregivers, medical professionals, and members of society attended the seminar and benefited from the guidance shared during the event.
The seminar focused on spreading awareness regarding Parkinson’s disease, tremors, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions with special emphasis on early diagnosis, timely treatment, patient management, and emotional support for families.
Mr. Prakash Rakholia also shared his personal journey of being diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD) in 2020.
He expressed that while diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease receive significant public attention, awareness regarding Parkinson’s disease and neurological disorders remains limited in society.
